Ella’s
opened in the summer of 2003 by Chef/Owner Ed Hanson, and is
named for Ed’s ten-year old daughter. The restaurant
is one of only a few independently owned restaurants in the
Penn Quarter neighborhood, and careful attention to detail in
the food, drink, décor and service is evident throughout.
Ed’s vision is to create a true neighborhood restaurant
where everyone is comfortable and has fun! The philosophy is
as straightforward as the food, use the best quality ingredients,
prepared simply and properly, and serve them with joy.
